Weekly Crime Report: Nov. 12 to Nov. 22

Police released a shorter-than-usual crime report for the week leading up to Thanksgiving, but it included a serious incident from Sunday, Nov. 18:

An aggravated assault occurred at Woodmont Avenue & Rugby Avenue, Bethesda on Sunday, 11/18 at approximately 11:30 p.m.  The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and the victim fled.

Suspect: B/M, 25-28, 5’10”-5’11”, 150-180 lbs.

A residential burglary occurred in the 6400 block of Walhonding Road, Bethesda on Wednesday, 11/14 between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.  Unforced entry; property taken.

A theft incident occurred in the 7500 block of Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda on Wednesday, 11/14 at approximately 4:20 p.m.  An unknown suspect removed property from victim as the victim shopped at Safeway.

A residential burglary occurred in the 7200 block of Nevis Road, Bethesda on Thursday, 11/15 between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Forced entry; nothing taken.

Two commercial office burglaries occurred at 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda on Friday, 11/16.  No further information is available at this time.

A theft occurred in the 3700 block of Curtis Court, Chevy Chase sometime between Saturday, 11/17 and Sunday, 11/18.  Property was taken from outside the location

Two thefts from vehicles occurred in Bethesda during the daytime hours; one on Sunday, 11/18 at Friendship Boulevard and Western Avenue and the other on Monday, 11/19 at The Hills Plaza and S Park Avenue.  Forced entry; clothing taken.
