Crime Report: Oct. 8 to Oct. 16

A 23-year-old man from Bethesda was arrested after showing a weapon during a fight near the bars in Woodmont Triangle two weeks ago, police said in a crime summary released today.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 7900 block of Norfolk Avenue, Bethesda on Friday, 10/12 at 1:20 a.m.  The suspect threatened two victims with a weapon after a dispute.

A theft from a construction site occurred in the 5200 block of Strathmore Avenue, Kensington sometime between the afternoon of Monday, 10/8 and the morning of Tuesday, 10/9.

A residential burglary occurred in the 8900 block of Oneida Lane, Bethesda overnight from Wednesday, 10/10 to Thursday, 10/11.  No forced entry; property was taken.

A robbery occurred in the 5800 block of Madaket Road, Brookmont on the afternoon of Thursday, 10/11.

An armed robbery occurred in the 7800 block of Custer Road, Bethesda on Friday, 10/12 at approximately 10:30 p.m.  The suspects threatened the victims with a weapon and obtained property.

Suspect: B/M; Suspect: B/M, 16-25.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5800 block of Inman Park Circle, North Bethesda on Sunday, 10/14 between 10:00 a.m. and noon.  Unknown means of entry.  Property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 6000 block of Massachusetts Avenue, Bethesda on Monday, 10/15 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 8800 block of Fernwood Road, Bethesda on Tuesday, 10/16 between noon and 1:00 p.m.  Unforced entry; property taken.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred this week in this Chevy Chase/Bethesda beat.  None involved forced entry.  Affected streets include: the 5000 block of Bradley Blvd, 4800 block of Bethesda Avenue, 4600 block of West Virginia Avenue and the corner of Elm Street and Wisconsin Avenue

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred this week in this Bethesda beat. Entry methods varied with some vehicles left unsecured and others entered by force.  Loose items in the vehicles were targeted.  Affected streets included: the intersection of North Park Avenue and Willard Avenue, 6500 block of Kenhowe Drive and the 6200 block of E. Halbert Road.
