Women facing charges after fighting over a pair of pants

WASHINGTON – Two Maryland women are facing charges after a fight over a pair of pants in a Gaithersburg mall turned violent.

It was the last pair of pants in a particular size, NBC Washington reports. When officers arrived at the Body Central store at Lakeforest Mall, Ethelyn Gladney, 21, of Montgomery Village and Andrea Williams, 22, of Gaithersburg were wrestling and punching each other on the ground, according to the report.

Additional units were called in to subdue the crowd around the women, including family and friends.

The fight broke out shortly before 1 p.m. Both women refused medical treatment at the scene. They have been charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order and disturbing the peace.
