Red Bulls’ Jamison Olave suspended 2 games, fined

NEW YORK (AP) — New York Red Bulls defender Jamison Olave has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed sum by Major League Soccer for “violent” conduct toward an opponent.

The play came in the 77th minute of Wednesday night’s 1-1 tie against Real Salt Lake.

Two other players were disciplined by the league Friday for their conduct in the same minute of that match.

Real Salt Lake midfielder Javier Morales and Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill were fined for violating league policy on placing hands on an opponent’s head.
