Canucks assign center Bo Horvat to AHL Utica

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — The Vancouver Canucks have assigned center Bo Horvat to the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League on a conditioning assignment.

Horvat, 19, had one goal in five preseason games with the Canucks. Last season he appeared in 54 games for the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights. He had a career-high 74 points (30 goals, 44 assists) and 36 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-1, 216-pound center was selected by Vancouver with the ninth overall pick in the 2013 draft.
