Injured Montreal G Price skates in full equipment

BROSSARD, Quebec (AP) — Injured Canadiens goaltender Carey Price has skated for a second straight day — this time in full equipment.

Price was on the ice for about 30 minutes with goaltending coach Stephane Waite and a trainer Tuesday. He took some soft shots and left well before the rest of the team went on the ice for their game-day skate.

Coach Michel Therrien reiterated afterward that Price will not play in this series even if it goes seven games. The Rangers lead 3-1 heading into Tuesday night’s Game 5.

Price had skated in warm-ups for about five minutes Monday. Therrien said it was part of his injury rehab.

Price appeared to hurt his right knee in the second period of Game 1 of the NHL Eastern Conference final when New York forward Chris Kreider crashed into him. Price finished the period but has not played since. Dustin Tokarski has started the last four games.
