Pirates minor leaguer Clemens suspended 68 games

NEW YORK (AP) — Pittsburgh Pirates minor league pitcher Michael Clemens has been suspended 68 games without pay for possession and use of a banned drug.

Major League Baseball said Monday the right-hander was punished for having human growth hormone in violation of the Minor League drug prevention and treatment program.

Clemens is on the roster of Bristol of the Appalachian League.
