Police release video of missing Md. mother

WASHINGTON — Police on Friday released video footage and additional information about the missing Montgomery County woman who disappeared one day after two of her young children were reported missing.

Catherine Hoggle, who suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, was last seen around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, in Germantown, Maryland, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.

The day before, Hoggle’s common-law husband, Troy Turner, reported the couple’s two youngest children missing, Sarah, 3, and Jacob, 2.

On Friday, police released video footage (see below) they say shows the 27- year-old mother in a building around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 9. For investigative reasons, police would not give the exact location of the building, but said it was in the area of Germantown Road between I-270 and the Germantown Commons shopping center.

A Ride On bus driver told investigators he believes Hoggle boarded his bus around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night at the Germantown Transit Center near Route 118 and Aircraft Drive. She rode to the Gaithersburg Transit Center, adjacent to the Lakeforest Mall, according to the news release.

There have been no confirmed sightings of the children since they were reported missing by their father on Monday, Sept. 8.

Detectives are focusing on areas they believe Hoggle may have visited recently and are looking for evidence.

“The search process is highly organized and systematic, conducted by police officers, and is overseen by the Montgomery County Police Department Search Team,” the release states.

Police encourage anyone with information or possible sightings of either Catherine Hoggle or her children to call 911 or contact them at 301-279-8000.
