HANOVER, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County police are hoping that rewards totaling up to $27,000 will lead to the arrest of a man who shot and killed a gas station clerk during a robbery.
Forty-nine-year-old Rajinder Kumar of Glen Burnie was shot Aug. 7 at an Exxon station in Hanover. The crime was recorded on surveillance video.
Police say the suspect is a black man, average build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and tan or light-colored shorts.
Authorities said on Wednesday that the FBI is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of a suspect. The Anne Arundel County Muslim Council has added $5,000 to the reward, and Metro Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000.
Anyone with information should call county police at 410-222-8610.
