Yankees-Orioles game postponed by rain

BALTIMORE (AP) — The New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles game scheduled for Tuesday evening has been postponed because of rain.

The game was scrubbed four hours before the scheduled 7 p.m. start time. Shane Greene (3-1) had been set to face Baltimore’s Wei-Yin Chen (12-4).

The game will made up on Sept. 12 as part of a split-admission doubleheader.

Tuesday’s game was to be the second of a three-game series between the first-place Orioles and third-place Yankees, who are seven games back. The teams now have a four-game weekend series in Baltimore set for September.
