Crews helping motorists stuck in flooding in Md.

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Rescue crews in Montgomery County are helping some motorists who became stuck after heavy rains.

Montgomery County fire department spokesman Pete Piringer says crews have helped or are helping approximately half a dozen people who became stranded in their cars, apparently as a result of flash flooding Tuesday.

Piringer says heavy rains caused localized flooding. He says officials recommend motorists don’t try to drive through moving water.
