Victims in Maryland slayings identified

OXON HILL, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County police say the victims in a double slaying in Oxon Hill are the wife and mother-in-law of the man accused of killing them.

Officers say 54-year-old Janice Marshall-Thomas and her mother, 83-year-old Eunice Brooks were found dead of traumatic injuries Saturday morning at their home in Oxon Hill. Police say the two lived at the home with Marshall-Thomas’ husband, 54-year-old Malcolm Paul Thomas.

Thomas was arrested late Saturday in Wakefield, Virginia, on a warrant charging him with two counts of first degree murder. He is awaiting extradition to Maryland.
