Light rail stations to reopen after repairs

BALTIMORE (AP) — The Maryland Transit Administration says three light rail stations closed for emergency repairs to tracks will reopen.

MTA spokeswoman Paulette Austrich says the Mount Washington, Cold Spring and Woodberry stations, which were closed June 20, will reopen, with trains fully operations, Friday morning.

The MTA said heavy rains had eroded land near the tracks at the Cold Spring Station. Power to the catenary wires were shut down during the repairs.

Crews stabilized the soil and built a retaining wall to prevent further erosion.
