Police seek suspect who pepper sprayed shop keeper

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County police are searching for a suspect who pepper sprayed a shop keeper during a suspected shoplifting.

Police say officers were called to the Ulta Beauty store Friday afternoon in Harbor Center shopping center for a reported shoplifting.

Police say a suspect stole about $1,000 worth of fragrances from store shelves. Then a second suspect sprayed store employees with a chemical pepper spray, and the two suspects escaped.

The employee who was sprayed was treated by fire department personnel and was taken to a hospital for further treatment. A store manager declined treatment.
