Police charge boyfriend in death of Greenbelt mother

WASHINGTON — Greenbelt (Maryland) Police have obtained warrants for the arrest of Jean Miguel Roman, charging him with first degree and second degree murder in connection to the stabbing death of a Greenbelt woman.

Police said they found the body of 28-year-old Emilia Ignacio late Friday afternoon. She was reported missing April 21, and police found her body in the passenger seat of a red Nissan Altima.

Greenbelt Police reported Ignacio was stabbed multiple times. A knife was found in the vehicle.

The car was parked on Frankfort Drive, near where she lived with her boyfriend and her two children, according to the Associated Press.

Police said they believe Ignacio was last seen with the boyfriend on the night of April 21 – Balderas had not been seen since Ignacio was reported missing.

Police describe Roman, 34, as a Hispanic male who is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last believed to be driving a red 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, with Maryland tags 1AG9751.
