Man, woman sought in Md. identity theft case

WASHINGTON – Montgomery County police are asking for help identifying suspects in an identify theft case.

Police say a Silver Spring, Md., man recently received a $20,000 credit card bill for an account opened in his name. A man who used the card at a beauty supply store in Beltsville in July showed a fake D.C. driver’s license that had the suspect’s photograph and the victim’s name on it.

Earlier this month, the same man was accompanied by a woman at Target stores in Laurel and Largo, where the pair bought items.

Police have released a photograph showing the suspects. Anyone with information can call police at 240-773-5476, make an anonymous call to Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS or leave a tip here.

A cash reward of up to $10,000 is available for information provided to Crime Solvers that leads to an arrest and/or indictment in the case.
