With Wizards in playoffs, what happens to Lady Gaga?

WASHINGTON — The Washington Wizards could have more than the Indiana Pacers to contend with in the National Basketball Association Conference Semifinals.

According to the current schedule, the Wizards are set to host game 6 of the series at the Verizon Center on Thursday, May 15.

However, Lady Gaga is set to perform that night at the Verizon Center as part of her ArtRave tour in support of her 2013 album, “Artpop.”

“We certainly are aware of the potential conflict, and we are working with the promoter in the event there is a Game 6,” Kurt Kehl, a spokesman for Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which owns the Wizards and Verizon Center, told WTOP in an email.

Right now, though, a conflict isn’t certain.

The NBA Playoffs series are “best-of-seven,” meaning the first team to win four games wins the series. Should either the Pacers or Wizards win all four of the first games – or four of the first five – there will be no game 6. Games 5 through 7 will be played if necessary.

The playoff series kicks off on Monday evening in Indianapolis.
