WASHINGTON – The Wizards are off to their worst start ever, but there is a bright side for fans who want to see them in action.
Tickets to some upcoming games are selling on StubHub for as little as a dollar and change.
Ticket prices on Tuesday for the Nov. 28 game against the Portland Trailblazers start at just $1.75, and tickets for the Dec. 18 game against the Atlanta Hawks start at $2.
Outside the Verizon Center, several fans were surprised by the low prices.
“That’s really, really super cheap,” says Holly Shick.
With tickets at those rates, even non-believers say they would be tempted to catch a game.
“Sure, why not. It’s a bus ride- $1.60 is a bus ride nowadays,” says Kila Taylor, who describes herself as a die-hard Redskins fan.
But not everyone is convinced.
“I would go if my team was in town, but otherwise (I’m) probably not that interested,” says Kim Nielsen, a Chicago Bulls fan.
Colin Spodek says he isn’t likely to check out a game either.
“Not unless they were playing a quality opponent,” he says.
