BALTIMORE (AP) — Celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio faces a September court date on drunken driving charges in Baltimore.
The Frederick News-Post (http://bit.ly/1rAKnLb ) reported Friday that police stopped Voltaggio early June 6 on South Howard Street in Baltimore.
He is charged with driving while impaired, driving under the influence and driving under the influence per se, which means his blood alcohol level allegedly tested at more than .08 percent.
Voltaggio didn’t respond to the newspaper’s requests for comment. A spokeswoman for his company didn’t immediately respond to a query from The Associated Press. Defense attorney Peter Markuski didn’t immediately return a call from The Associated Press.
The Urbana resident has opened a string of restaurants in the Mid-Atlantic region since placing second to his brother Michael on the “Top Chef” television show in 2009.
