Hawaii tourist dies after snorkeling in bay

HONOLULU (AP) — A 43-year-old Baltimore man died after he ran into trouble while snorkeling in Hawaii.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (http://is.gd/lXSUqD) reports the man was snorkeling by himself Sunday at Hanauma Bay.

The man was taken to shore by lifeguards who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation until paramedics arrived.

Honolulu police say the man was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Honolulu Fire Department Capt. James Todd says the man was traveling with his wife as part of a snorkeling tour group.

The man’s name was not immediately released.
