Weekend work to impact orange, red lines

WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says travelers on the orange and red lines will wait longer for trains this weekend because of work.

Metro says that beginning Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through system closing on Sunday, orange line trains will operate every 24 minutes.

On the red line, travelers will see trains every 18 minutes. There will be additional red line trains from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. between Van Ness and Judiciary Square.

On Saturday, green line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule except for at the Greenbelt station, where trains will arrive and depart every 24 minutes between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Yellow and blue line trains will run on a regular weekend schedule.
