Richmond jewelry store worker killed in robbery

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Richmond police are investigating the slaying of a jewelry store worker during a robbery.

Police say in a news release that the incident occurred Monday afternoon at Victoria Jewelers. Officers found 29-year-old Muhammad H. Baig dead inside the store from an apparent gunshot wound.

The cause of the Henrico man’s death will be determined by the medical examiner.

No arrests have been made.
