Md. casino garage robber arrested

WASHINGTON – A Prince George’s County man was arrested Sunday for robbing a man and woman inside the Maryland Live! casino parking garage.

Anne Arundel police say that Errick M. Lewis, 28, of Temple Hills, Md., robbed the pair at gunpoint Saturday morning. The man had just left the casino and handed cash to the robber.

A tip led investigators to the car used in the robbery at a home in District Heights. Police followed the car when it left the home along with a second vehicle.

Officers discovered Lewis, who matched the description of the robber, in the second car.

Police say Lewis told them them where to find the pellet gun used during the robbery along with other evidence.

Lewis is charged with two counts each of armed robbery, robbery, first degree assault and theft. He is also charged with the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

He was being held in the Anne Arundel County Detention Center in lieu of $200,000 bail.
