Overnight lane closures planned along the Beltway in Prince George’s Co.

WASHINGTON – Three lanes of the Inner Loop will be closed to traffic overnight for emergency bridge work in Prince George’s County.

The Maryland State Highway Administration says the three left lanes of the Beltway between Maryland Route 5/Branch Avenue and Maryland Route 414/St. Barnabas Road will close starting at 10 p.m. Monday.

The lanes will be closed so crews can make concrete deck repairs and repair a bridge joint on the Interstate 495 bridge over Route 414.

The work will resume each night through Thursday and should conclude by 5 the next morning.

Crews determined the bridge repairs were needed after repairing potholes along the same stretch of the Beltway.
