6th person arrested in probe of Va. man’s death

RICHMOND, Va. — A sixth person faces charges in connection with the investigation of a Waynesboro reserve police officer’s disappearance and death.

Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says 22-year-old Anthony L. White of Mineral was arrested early Sunday morning without incident in Louisa County.

White faces one felony count of gang participation.

Police found Kevin Wayne Quick’s body about halfway between Richmond and Charlottesville last Thursday. The 45-year-old Rockfish resident was reported missing on Feb. 1 when he failed to arrive at his girlfriend’s residence in Albemarle County.

Police have arrested five other people who they say have some connection to Quick’s disappearance and death. None of the suspects has been charged with his death.

Geller says the investigation is continuing.
