D.C. police seek man in connection with sexual assault

WASHINGTON – The Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public for help finding a person of interest connected with a sexual assault.

Around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, an unknown man entered a business on the 1700 block of 7th Street NW and sexually assaulted a woman working there.

The man is described as black with a medium complexion, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 10 inches tall. He appeared to be in his early 20’s, skinny, with a short haircut, a gray shirt with wording on the front, black Helly Hansen pants, gray/green shoes and a gray baseball cap.

The man also has a tattoo on his right forearm with letters and he carried a blue, satchel-type backpack.
