WASHINGTON – The post office at Seven Corners Center in Falls Church was robbed Thursday morning.

Fairfax County police say the robbers entered the post office at about 11 a.m. One of them jumped over the counter and demanded money from a postal worker. Another robber had a handgun and stood near an exit.

The robbers left with an undisclosed amount of cash, police say.

Two adults who were in the facility at the time suffered from medical problems during the heist and were later taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital. They were expected to survive, according to police.

The robbers were described as black men, about 19 to 25 years old and were both very thin. They were each between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9. One wore a dark mask and the other wore a light mask, police say.

Fairfax County police and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service are jointly investigating.
