Police: Woman, 73, assaulted and robbed in Annandale

WASHINGTON – Police are looking for four male suspects in the assault and robbery of a 73-year-old woman in Annandale, Va.

Fairfax County police say a group of young men approached the woman in the 7900 block of Heritage Drive as she was walking from a bus stop at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. One of them came up behind the woman, grabbed her purse and struck her several times, according to police.

The group fled the scene, but police say they are looking for two Hispanic young men and two black young men.

Emergency crews transported the woman, whose name had not been released, to an area hospital for treatment. She sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, police say.
