Jewels stolen in smash, grab robbery

WASHINGTON – Three robbers smashed a display case and grabbed an undisclosed amount of jewelry from a suburban mall Monday.

Fairfax County police say the men robbed the Kay Jewelers at Fair Oaks Mall just before 8 p.m. Customers were in the store at the time of the smash and grab-style robbery but no one was hurt.

The three robbers are between the ages of 25 and 30. One man was between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8 with a medium build. He wore a blue, hooded sweatshirt.

The other two robbers were between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-2. One wore a dark, hooded sweat shirt and the other wore a white T-shirt.
