Dumfries pharmacy robbed for meds

WASHINGTON – Police are looking for a young man who robbed a pharmacy in Dumfries for pain medications Thursday.

Prince William County police say that a man robbed the CVS at 16712 Jefferson Davis Highway just before 12:30 p.m. An employee told police that the robber displayed a handgun and demanded medications. He left with pain medications but police don’t know if he fled on foot or by vehicle.

Investigators used by a police dog and a helicopter to search for the unidentified robber but did not find him.

The robber was described as a young man between the ages of 15 and 20, about 6-foot tall, weighing about 160 pounds. He has a thick build and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt with white sleeves, blue pants, white sneakers with black laces and sunglasses.
