Man shoots estranged wife, kills self in Clinton

WASHINGTON – A man shot and killed his estranged wife and then turned the shotgun on himself in Clinton, Md., Wednesday night, according to Prince George’s County police.

Police identify the two as Denise Taffe, 41, of Clinton and Jason Taffe, 47, of Silver Spring.

The Taffes were found dead in Denise Taffe’s yard in the 7700 block of Pinewood Drive when police responded to a 10:20 p.m. call about a shooting.

According to the preliminary investigation into the murder-suicide, Jason Taffe came to his estranged wife’s home, got into an argument with her and the argument turned physical. Police say he shot her, then killed himself.
