Pet of the Week: Cherry

UPDATE – Tuesday, 5/21/2013, 10:30 a.m. ET

WASHINGTON – Cherry has been adopted.

WASHINGTON – WTOP Living is partnering with the Washington Animal Rescue League to feature a Pet of the Week available for adoption. Meet this week’s pet below.

Name: Cherry

Age: 4 months old

Breed: Tabby

Bio: “She got the way to move me, Cherry. She got the way to groove me.”

Neil Diamond may not have had a feline in mind when he penned his first hit song in 1966, but we’re sure if he met our little Cherry, he’d agree that “the girl’s outta sight.”

This playful 4-month-old orange-and-gray tabby loves to run, climb, chase and pounce. But once she’s tired herself out, she also enjoys a good cuddle.

Cherry was relinquished to the Washington Animal Rescue League with another kitten because her owner had too many cats to care for. Now she’s ready for a new home where she can move and groove to her heart’s content.

For more information on Cherry, email adoption@warl.org or call 202-726-2556 ext. 503.
