15 people injured after Metrobus collides with van

WASHINGTON – Fifteen people have been injured after a Metrobus collided with a minivan in Washington.

The A9 Metrobus was traveling on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in southeast Washington on Saturday afternoon. A Metro spokeswoman says the bus collided with a minivan, and the driver of the minivan was cited with an improper lane change.

District of Columbia fire department spokesman Lon Walls says 15 people were taken to hospitals. Two have serious injuries that are not life threatening. The others have minor injuries.
