Woman injured in Fairfax County robbery

WASHINGTON – A robbery in Fairfax County has left a woman injured and police searching for her assailant.

The 23-year-old victim was walking through Mount Eagle Park at 7:40 a.m. Monday between Richmond Highway and Huntington Avenue when a man approached her, a Fairfax County Police news release says.

The man hit the woman and took cash and property from her, then he ran away, the release says.

The suspect is vaguely described as a black man in his mid-20s, standing between 5- foot-10-inches and 6-foot-2-inches tall.
