Prince George’s County executive adds to Redskins bet

WASHINGTON – The mayors of D.C. and Seattle have a bet going ahead of today’s game, vowing to fly the other city’s flag if their team loses.

Now, a pair of county executives is adding to the pot.

Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker has made a wager with his counterpart, Dow Constantine, the county executive of King County in Washington state, where Seattle is located.

If the Redskins win, Baker will receive a case of some of the best coffee from around the Seattle area, including Starbucks and Seattle’s Best.

If the Seahawks win, Constantine will get a case of Eight O’Clock Coffee, which is based in Landover, Md.

And an added wager has Baker really pulling for a Redskins win.

“Mentoring month is January, so [I’ll be] watching him do his mentoring in a Redskins jersey,” Baker says. “If by the off chance the Redskins lose, I’ll do the same in a Seattle jersey.”
