Missing District Heights boy found safe, man in custody

UPDATE (12:30 a.m.): Cesar Martinez has been found safe and the Amber Alert is canceled. The man accused of taking the boy, Julio Arriaza, is in custody and charges are pending.

WASHINGTON (8:30 p.m.) – Maryland State Police have issued an AMBER alert for Prince George’s County.

One-year-old Cesar Steven Martinez is a hispanic boy. He was allegedly abducted by Julio Cesar Arriaza, a hispanic male, driving a green 2006 Chevy Equinox SUV with Maryland tag 7AG6950.

The vehicle was last seen near Nimitz Road in District Heights, Md. On Aug. 21.

The child weighs about 18 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. It’s unknown what clothing he was wearing.

Arriaza is described at as a 5 feet four inches tall man weight 150 pounds with brown hair and eyes. His clothing is unknown.

Anyone with information on Cesar Martinez’s whereabouts should immediately call 911 or the Prince George’s County Police Dept at 301-352-1200 or 911.
