D.C. fire finds nothing following reports of overturned boat

WASHINGTON – D.C. Fire & EMS has returned its units to regular service after not finding anything related to reports of an overturned boat on the Potomac River between the 14th Street Bridge and National Airport.

D.C. Fire & EMS, D.C. police and D.C. Harbor Police responded to the reports with water rescue and haz-mat crews just after 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. It is unclear what first alerted authorities that a boat might be overturned.
