WASHINGTON – Hundreds turned out in their skivvies on Saturday to go on a nearly-naked run for a good cause.
Cupid’s Undie Run, a 1.5 mile jaunt through Capitol Hill, attracted all sorts of festive folks who stripped down in 40 degree weather and went for a jog raising money for The Children’s Tumor Foundation.
Many participants wore red and pink undergarments in the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
The sold-out event in D.C. was also held in six other cities nationwide, New York City, Atlanta, Seattle, Denver and Cincinnati.
The event raised $136,836 in D.C. alone. They had been aiming for $100,000.
