Gas leak forces evacuation at Rockville apartment building

WASHINGTON – A suspected gas leak has forced an evacuation of an apartment building in Rockville, Md.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue says about six people are being evaluated for carbon dioxide poisoning at an apartment building on Veirs Mill Road near Gaynor Road.

Authorities do not believe any of the patients are facing life-threatening injuries.

Officials have requested a bus for the evacuated tenants until crews can ventilate the building.
