Looking at another very hot and humid day with chances of thunderstorms later on this afternoon and into the evening hours. Today's temperatures will top out, once again, in the mid 90s. With the combined humidity, it is going to feel like over 100 degrees in spots. Showers and thunderstorms should move from the west to the east later this afternoon and into the evening hours. Some could bring heavy downpours with lightning and gusty winds.

By the late evening hours, the front that trigger the storms should be southeast of the region drying us out but not cooling us down. Temperatures tomorrow should still be right around 90 degrees with decreasing clouds. Humidity will gradually drop through the day and Thursday should be the most pleasant day (in terms of humidity levels) with sunshine. However, Thursday should still be warm with temperatures around 90 degrees. Friday, clouds and humidity will increase as we await the arrival of our next frontal system that should cross through on Saturday. Clouds around on Saturday with temperatures hovering at the 90 degree mark. There will be a chance of showers and storms on Saturday. By Sunday and Monday, temperatures drop off into the lower to mid 80s, giving us a break from the heat.
