Guns in car of NC woman who made school threats

STONEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina authorities say a detective was able to stop a woman who threatened to kill someone at her daughter’s school because she was upset over the possible loss of the girl to social services

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said David Wayne Sizemore was stopped for speeding Thursday and the detective followed him home after he said his wife was having a medical emergency. As they headed there, a car sped past them and Sizemore said it was his wife.

The sheriff’s office said when the detective stopped 35-year-old Crystal Ann Riggs Sizemore, a .22-caliber rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition were found in the car. She’s jailed on several charges, including attempting to discharge a firearm on educational property. It’s not known if she has an attorney.
