Father creates video time capsule of daughter’s childhood (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON – Parents always say time with their kids goes by too fast. And now one father and filmmaker is doing his best to capture those fleeting moments using time-lapsed video.

Frans Hofmeester has been taping and interviewing his 12-year-old daughter, Lotte, since she was born. The nearly three-minute time-lapsed video encapsulates her childhood, illustrating her changing moods, hairstyles and outfits.

The video — which has gone viral — is being shared by parents, film fans and curious Internet users.

Hofmeester is doing a similar video for his son Vince who is now nine.

The popularity of time-lapse videos have grown recently, as projects showcasing Yosemite National Park’s beauty, galaxy star trails from space and a mother’s pregnancy have gone viral in 2012.
