ROCKVILLE, Md. - Residents in Montgomery County lined up overnight in a queue that stretched several blocks hoping to get H1N1 flu vaccinations.

The Piccard Drive Health Center was open from 9 a.m. to noon in Rockville.

County officials were prepared to distribute roughly 1,200 doses of the H1N1 vaccine, but that was not nearly enough to meet demand.

The clinic was limited to health care workers, infant caretakers, pregnant women, children between the ages of 2 and 24 and people with chronic health problems.

Some in line Wednesday morning said the county should have posted on its Website how many doses and shots would be available. Others turned a bit surly after waiting all morning.

This was the second of the county's weekly swine flu clinics. On a daily basis, the state is finding out from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention what the availability of the vaccine is.

Future clinics are planned for county residents. Click here for the schedule.
