Honoring the "Thin Blue Line"
This is National Police Week. It pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial is centered in the 400 block of E Street, NW. Monday evening was the 25th annual Candle Light Vigil and the Roll Call of Fallen Law Enforcement Heroes added to the Memorial this year.
Angelic voices for cultual diplomacy
The Children's Chorus of Washington (CCW) "has taken its place among the finest children's choral ensembles in the country, and is recognized for its education program and artistic excellence. CCW represents over 100 public and private schools in the greater Washington, DC area." They also continue to practice cultural diplomacy with a trip to China!
