Iowa Democrats say there’s room for a non-Clinton

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Not every Iowa Democrat is cheering for Hillary Rodham Clinton to run for president. Some have an intense desire for someone else.

Some voters say they’re interested now in Sen. Elizabeth Warren, although the Massachusetts Democrat says she’s not running.

Among the Democrats’ potential Clinton alternatives, Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley has been the busiest. He has already come to Iowa three times this year. Former Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer and former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb have headlined Democratic activist events in the state.

Another possibility, Vice President Joe Biden, has kept in close touch with Iowans for decades.

Clinton has yet to say whether she will campaign again for the White House.
