Poll shows Bowser leading in DC mayor’s race

WASHINGTON (AP) — A new poll shows that Democrat Muriel Bowser has a comfortable lead against her two opponents in the District’s mayor’s race.

An NBC4/Washington Post/Marist poll released Wednesday shows that Bowser has the support of 43 percent of likely voters. The poll showed independent David Catania received 26 percent and Carol Schwartz, also an independent, got the support of 16 percent of voters.

The poll also showed that 14 percent of likely voters are still undecided. The election is nearly seven weeks away.

The poll surveyed 1,249 adults from Sept. 14-16 by the Marist Poll sponsored in partnership with NBC4 and The Washington Post. It has a 4.1-percent margin of error among likely voters.
