Bonneville International Corp. and the Nationals made the announcement Thursday.
Senior Vice President Joel Oxley says Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler will announce all the games, which include roughly 10 pre-season games, 162 regular season games and all post-season games.
Washington Post Radio will broadcast on 1500 AM, 107.7 FM, and 104.3 FM in Leesburg starting in late March 2006.
"This partnership will best serve the loyal fans in Washington, Maryland and Virginia. We are excited that all of our fans will be able to tune into our games from March until the season's last pitch," Nationals President Tony Tavares said.
Even though the Nationals are still without an owner, Oxley says it shouldn't affect the radio deal.
"Major League Baseball people who I worked with were great, and we were able to get a deal done and I think we did a good job for both sides."
Oxley acknowledges that a new owner could have different plans, but says he is confident the new owner will be happy with the deal and the reach of the new station.
This spring will be Slowes' second season announcing Nationals games. Slowes was previously the play-by-play voice of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the Washington Bullets from 1986 to 1997.
Jageler joins the Nationals after spending last season as a radio voice of the Pawtucket Red Sox of the Triple-A team. He is currently the play-by-play voice of the Harvard University basketball team and worked as an ESPN Radio SportsCenter anchor.
