Montgomery Co. limits H1N1 vaccine to pregnant women

WASHINGTON - Montgomery County has canceled some H1N1 clinics because its vaccine supply is less than the county had ordered.

"When we first scheduled clinics, that was when we were assuming the vaccine supply was going to be plentiful and coming in on a regular basis," says Montgomery County health department spokeswoman Mary Anderson.

"It's frustrating for us because we'd like to vaccinate everyone who comes forward and wants to be vaccinated."

Only pregnant women with an appointment can receive a vaccine in Montgomery County.

Anderson says the county will schedule clinics as soon as it gets a large enough supply. She says hopefully that will be in the next few weeks.

In Loudoun County, the school system says H1N1 flu vaccination clinics on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 at the Leesburg Armory are canceled because of lack of adequate vaccine supply. Schools will continue H1N1 flu vaccination clinics when more vaccines are available.
