WASHINGTON - You may remember him as the dashing naval officer from ABC's hit reality show "The Bachelor." However, Lt. Commander Andy Baldwin wants viewers to know that there is more to him than charm and good looks.

Baldwin, who is also a physician, is running in the Marine Corps Marathon Sunday.

"I've taken what I've learned from the experience I had on television and tried to use it to put forth towards the things I care about to motivate and inspire others," he said.

He tells WTOP that he's running in the marathon to raise money for the Got Your Back charity that helps the children of U.S. service members killed in action.

"I lost two of my close friends in Afghanistan and I saw the effect it had on their children," he says.
