Multiple delays to tie up evening Metro commutes

June 17, 2009 - 6:20pm
WASHINGTON - Metro riders could be facing a long commute home Wednesday evening as there are multiple delays on several Metrorail lines.

Train communication problems in the area around the Reagan National Airport and Braddock Road stations will cause delays on both the Blue and Yellow lines for the rest of Wednesday evening.

Trips toward the Franconia-Springfield and Huntington stations may take 20 to 30 minutes longer than usual. There may be carry-over delays to the Orange line as well.

A train malfunction in Rosslyn is also causing delays on the Blue and Orange lines heading into Virginia.
